As The Root River is Raped….

Wow From today’s Racine Journal Times  http://journaltimes.com/news/local/local-group-heading-to-nyc-climate-change-march/article_61d1c09b-c27c-5928-b9d9-e460b7d54c65.html

Local group heading to NYC climate change march

The Local Group is not named but I will guess it’s 350. Org but again the group is not named and they have every right to march if they want

Interesting that this group is willing to go a march in New York but not willing to do anything when it comes to the well what I call the Rape of the Root River I guess I should call it by a better name the Root Industrial Canal, I would hope that seeing the  Root Industrial Canal, turn into well as I call it the largest Real Estate Scam in Wisconsin History this group or most Green Groups be more worried about local events., such as putting 6-8 Million Gal of “Treated Sewage” into Lake Michigan ( A day)  via the Root Industrial Canal, this would be from Waukesha pumping 6-8 Million Ga a day from Lake Michigan and how Green is that?

imagesrs2  (Treated Sewage?)

but well depending who is in this group might they be getting paid to help with the Rape of this area?

What? you mean the Local Green Groups (Or green Groups overall) can get paid off?

What do you think?  Do you have a price you sell out for? Most of us do I guess, the first 350K Cash sure could buy my home and my Wife and I be long gone from this pit of hell. Better yet 20K and I never post anything on this area of Southeast Wisconsin! I will not hold my breath

What might your price be?

Any bets that somehow Grant Funds to Root River Council are being spent on this trip?

Lawyers,Guns, and Money

1a2

The line above comes from the taking over of the area now called Oklahoma when asked what was needed to take this land over from Native Americans given this area by the U.S. Goverment the crooks  sent a telegram with this message, E.G. send Lawyers, Guns, and Money.

This would be used in a song by  Warren Zevon, that was big in my day.

Still true today, as many from just plain folk members of the public to City Alderman have raised questions on RootWorks  to not only City Leadership but State Leadership and If I understand right The Feds. However unless something happens perhaps fall out from the RICO case or a case coming from statements Mayor John Dickert made on WRJN not much can/will be done.

Why? Simple, with what I understand from folks looking into this have told me, to get more done will require Lawyers to go to court and those looking into this do not have Lawyers nor the money to retain the to take the issues they have into a court room and fight it out there.

Now I have some questions that I like answered the main one being with Millions on the line if RootWorks got stopped or delayed  why did these folks not prepare to have a lawyer to go to court?

Why do all the work done so far and end things here?

Unless its all part of a bigger plan?

Oh the Tape that Mayor John Dickert Told us he had of the Alderman of the 6th doing wrong should be interesting hearing as should the tape from the last city  Meeting

The quest for Tourism or the backdoor to a higher sales tax in Racine speculation

I am back!

From my Racine in Ruins blog

The quest for Tourism or the backdoor to a higher sales tax in Racine speculation

The City of Racine has no money we all know this our Mayor John “Only State ran Media allowed” Dickert has said time and again. Case in point why the city ripped up the City Union Contacts we have no money.

Why did the City want to close a Fire House we have no money.

At the same time our Mayor wants to spend more money to do so he raised taxes about 5% proposing to outsource CAR 25 to pals in Kenosha (as he saids to save $$ yet the act will cost more money) but as you will see what I think Dickert is doing he will need a “State” controlled Media, Dickert must be King of all media.

Add to this that fact that the “Tourist” area of Racine is not doing so well  A major employer has relocated outside the City. Shops are closing more and more empty store fronts. Even a Hot Dog Stand has closed.

Many property owners are behind on taxes in the Downtown area, even more sadly some business  owners from State of Wisconsin Records maybe as much as 60K behind. 60,000 assuming the State records are right that mean to me that the Downtown is in very sad shape, or we have some in Racine who think that Taxes are only for others to pay.

More tourism to Racine spending money would only help an area that is well as I see it a sink hole of failing businesses, properties far behind on taxes and other then bars empty after dark.

Who better then The Mayor to help send businesses  your way?

How to do this?

Well what I think we will see The official Mayor Dickert Network do a series of CATV productions high lighting the City of Racine focusing on Downtown and North beach this programing will not be part of CAR 25 (Hail John Dickert) but be contacted by the City of Racine, RCEDC, RAMAC, and say the Zoo (all under the control or are pals of the Mayor) . The new operators of CAR 25 (Pals of the Mayor)NOT  Car 25,will be contacted for a fee to create and produce the shows. Should this happen keep your eye on who else gets sub contacted to help.  Perhaps part of this effort is to reward long time pals that so far have yet to feed at the City Pork Feeders?

Of course other political  hacks like Rep Cory Mason will be used to promote their own projects like RootWorks. Thinking RootWorks will have $$ to help pay for this effort, after all one of the talking points of RootWorks is to create tourism to come to Racine’s Downtown. Just look at the map of where RootWorks will be directed to the Downtown area. Its all about the Downtown.

The Shows will be put on CAR 25 and I would hope You Tube and Blip TV.  I would think that an effort would be made to get them on both Milwaukee and Chicago air to try to bring tourism here. NOTE THE WORD TRY

Well the right kind of tourism WHITE folks to spend cash in the downtown area.

Should “Please No Blacks Allowed” signs should be put up?

Of course the Mayor will say if true or not how great this idea to bring tourism to Racine has worked and numbers will be produced to say how wildly successful the program has been, there by justifying the $$ spent and the need to continue to do so (Spend money)

Now  State Law allows for this:  “In 1997, the legislature authorized municipalities capable of qualifying as “premier resort areas” to impose a 0.5 percent sales tax. Wis. Stat. sec. 77.994. A municipality, by a two-thirds vote of the members of the governing body who are present when the vote is taken, may declare itself a premier resort area by enacting an ordinance or resolution if at least 40 percent of the equalized assessed value of taxable property within the municipality is used by tourism-related retailers. Wis. Stat. sec. 66.1113(2)(a). The definition of “Tourism-related retailers” lists twenty-one classifications of retail businesses including: variety stores; miscellaneous general merchandise stores; retail bakeries; gasoline service stations; eating places; drinking places; drug stores and proprietary stores; liquor stores; hotels and motels; and public golf courses.”

And part of the Marketing effort of Racine as a tourist destination words that I recall the Mayor has used to describe Racine  is to do exactly this

The law also said : “However, the tax proceeds may only be used to pay for public infrastructure expenses within the premier resort area’s jurisdiction. Wis. Stat sec. 66.1113(2)(d).”

Gee this sure would go along ways to help pay for Bike Trails and Foot Bridges for Root Works. Might even go to help pay for other parts needed for RootWorks like buying Marina’s in tax issues then creating a Mall on the river.

This speculation on my part goes to explain the need for the Mayor John Dickert Network and the push on RootWorks.

At least I own some Domains I can make Bank on, buy now! Price will only go up!

You might want to call your Alderman now and express your views.

Note this:

1) No Black Owned Bars in Downtown that may scare rich whites

2)  More Bars in the Downtown for Max drinking

3) As I see it soon no more programing critical of Mayor John Dicker allowed on CAR 25!

4)  Easier ways to pay for parking

Now does anyone think more tourism will be coming to Racine? To do what?

City Plan Commission 6/14/12 Public Hearing.

My thoughts
City Plan Commission 6/14/12 Public Hearing for Root Works was last night, at City Hall. They did not have a quorum but held the public hearing anyway. Before this there was an Open House for Root Works held near by.
I spoke at the Public hearing (Details to come) but below are what I noticed:

1) Less then 10 members of the Public were there. For a Plan that if carried out will bring change to the City in how it looks and perhaps great investment in Public Works, I am sad to say that this few members bothered to show up. Alderman Fair was there this be the 2nd time he has been at a event for this.

2) After I spoke the next few (4 or 5) where not there or passed on speaking. On the Form for sigh up one could check off if you where for or aganest the idea, so you could express your opinion on the plan.

Before the hearing the Tick from Hell Rep Cory Mason of Racine spoke of the plan along with someone from Vandewalle,of course she brought up in passing KRM but not much else after all the times she has sung and danced this tune she must be tired of the song, knowing after all this will pass. IMHO no force on Earth will stop this from becoming a Plan for the City so how much do one has to show in showing this plan.

Even the Tick was less then Gun Ho in speaking perhaps knowing that Walker is still Governor and the GOP still controls Madison he will be unable to feed from the Blood of tax payers he was sad. Perhaps after seeing the area I understand he will be moving to to play Carpetbagger(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carpetbagger) in the West 6th st Area, I will be missing Robert Turner leadership.
Anyway, understanding that $$ one may not have access to State tax $$ would make a Tick sad, I think.

Now I spoke in favor of the plan noting of the great attention Carpet Baggier like and said that the City should pass this so we may take advantage of the monies coming in should this plan be passed. I noted too that Mayor Dicket has been speaking in the past to the last State Administration about the River and I hoped in passing this plan the City would be able to take advantage of Mayor’s John Dickert’s efforts.

Not my best speaking my bad I need to do a better job. Somehow I need to state that in theory I like the idea but have my worries on parts of the plan and how it will be paid for.

Cory Mason Looking for a job? Editorial

Editorial

Cory Mason (D) Racine sits on the  Board of Directors of the Root River Council

http://rootrivercouncil.org/riverfront-redevelopment/   and as of now a member of the Wisconsin Assembly with redistricting,  Mason (The Tick as he is sometimes called for his love of State Spending and higher taxes) is most likely going to lose a reelection effort. As he is running in the Recall on Lt Governor   Rebecca Kleefisch  political insiders see no hope for him to win this contest.

So what is a soon to be X Assemblymen to do?

Well when you have lived off the Blood of others (taxes) for so long as Rep. Mason has maybe its time to count on a group you help to run for a Job!

Why not the Root River Council at first blush good idea? They have some cash are in line to get more (EPA Grant funds and block grant funds) and someone needs  to do the work (Oh wait maybe we should get a true believer for the work) I mean be the face of the group. He is known in left wing and fringe Green Groups. Why get a job?

My guess and we will get some open records on this is he is good dues paying member of The Democratic Party of Racine and believes in Obama and John Dickert.  So what better place to hide out from the real world look good take credit for others work and be a tick.

Update 3/28/12

Mason has now said he will be moving into Bob Turner’s District and run for His old seat since Rep Turner is retiring. IMHO a sad day. Robert Turner has done great service to his district over the years.   Note Mason has yet to win the race so my first idea may still play out.

This site will do everything within the law in its power to help anyone beat Corry Mason Tick of the World
