Come on folks its about the Water…. I share my thoughts

But first we have from:

So I was talking to Mr. X on the phone today, not talked to him for sometime and out of the blue he calls

We chatted a bit talk about the RICO Suit then to the point of the phone call that being what the point of the whole Rootworks was: that being as we saw it Control of Sale of WATER!

Mind you, we thought that Machinery Row/TIF 18 could be the largest case of Land Fraud in the History of the State of Wisconsin when all was said and done but that would pale in compassion to the money to be made over the sale of Water from Lake Michigan should Waukesha  be allowed to buy Water from Lake Michigan and then send “Treated Waist back via The Root River

imagesrs2 Treated Sewage?

Right now we are being told that Waukesha will need about 6-10 million Gals a day to just stay the same size and perhaps grow a bit the Water if sent back to Lake Michigan (and the Great Lakes Compact tells us that the water MUST come back) Via the Root Industrial Canal (Formerly the Root River) would generate about 6 Million a year for the Cash Staved city of Racine, then of course, Cities like to grow builders like to build developers like to rip off tax payers I mean develop(I estimate that each year Waukesha loses millions in construction/ taxes until this issues is fixed)   and that mean MORE Water brought from the Lake and treated sewage sent back via   Root Industrial Canal  so perhaps in a few years The City of Racine could get oh 10 Million a year just for allowing this

imagesrs  Treated Sewage?

and then we have this from :   Waukesha is a symptom of a much larger U.S. problem. And for the signators to the Compact the city may be the thin edge of the wedge. The U.S. mid and southwest, particularly those communities and farmlands that have experienced prolonged recent droughts see the water-rich Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River Basin as a prime water resource. Why not divert water from the Basin to population centers like Las Vegas or Phoenix? Why not refill the Ogallala Aquifer with water from the Great Lakes? Why not raise Mississippi River water levels through a diversion canal?

Maybe Racine Under Mayor John Dickert gets a pumping station to start here to pump a few Million to other Cities who need Water maybe to pump the treated sewage back here?

Now Machinery Row costing 68 Million over time political Hacks/Pals of Mayor John Dickert might be able to scam say over time 10% or say 10 Million, but the Water sales Sewage dumping could bring in 6 Million + a year Pipe lines need to go in land may need to be bought etc how much could crooks in Goverment make their pals?

But then there is this from the same Web page …

Poor Waukesha, located in the wrong place when it comes to fighting a water war with the Compact. That’s because Chicago and its waterways which drain into the Illinois River, a tributary of the Mississippi, lie less than an hour to the south. And Chicago has the Asian carp, (seen jumping out of the water on mass in the picture below) an invasive species currently still in the Mississippi watershed that has migrated to within 160 kilometers (100 miles) of the Great Lakes. The Compact, as a result, has become hyper vigilant about any water diversion. Should the Asian carp gain access to the Great Lakes it is seen as having an even more devastating impact than the sea lamprey. And considering how unsuccessful humans have been in stopping alien species from getting to the Great Lakes, there is even greater efforts being put in place to try and succeed just once

So Waukesha is caught in a water war, even though it sits within a state that has a wealth of freshwater. Its application to draw water from Lake Michigan which requires unanimous approval from the governors and premiers of the Compact will likely fail to pass, and Waukesha will have to look elsewhere to solve its water crises

So for now our mayor who got very unhappy news about the RICO case today might be only able to find ways to scam on Machinery Row.

Please keep your eyes open this will be interesting to see go down.

What do you think?

One last thing if indeed the Good Old boys are planing to scam on Root Works and folks get in the way of say a 6 Million+ Pay day what will happen?

The Root Industrial Canal

Photos above for example only

Would you swim in what I from now on call The Root Industrial Canal that runs in Racine to Lake Michigan you know the Root River?

One thing maybe to Swim in the River say further up the River say in the area where it runs into Racine County another say in Downtown Racine

After all since since the 1850’s to the 1970’s many companies not knowing better just dumped garbage in the Canal, what all did the Companies once in Downtown Racine just used the Canal as a dumping place for? PCB’s other Cancer causing chemicals?  Again at the time they had no idea is was not a good idea?

What garbage awaits someone silly enough to swim in the Canal? How will we be able to find out?

Myself, thinking that samples could be taken of the bottom and tested, that tell us something would it not?

Would that information be given to the Public? After all if our Canal was filled with really nasty stuff, could you get the mythical Boaters who are demanding Condos along the Canal to truly buy one? Would you?

Perhaps as I was told by others and I believe what they tell me, Ghost Buyers, be the only “real” buyers ? Can you say Point Blue, therefor not get Cancer or kids get Birth Defects?

Should the Canal get dredged so our mythical Boaters can take their boats up the River what would the cost be to dispose of the perhaps contaminated soil? Where would it go? Perhaps a Playground, or a Golf Course?

So many question to be answered.

Just wait Waukesha   wants to dump 6 Million+ Gals of “Treated” Sewage a day in the Root  Industrial Canal oh how lucky we are!

Great Lakes Maritime Museum An idea we will never see II

An idea we  will never see II

Visiting Kenosha as my wife and I do from time to time, we see the local museums draw a huge crowd. This crown by looking at the plates on the car come from all over the Midwest not just Kenoshia.

A good Museum could be a great draw to the city far more then the Party like Drunks that IMHO is the theme for Downtown Racine now.

A Great Lakes Maritime Museum in Racine along Lake Michigan, say in the area of the old Point Blue site was to be could in fact be a great draw for tourists around the Midwest to visit.

This Museum as I envision it would offer not only the history of Lake Michigan but focus on the importance of Lake Michigan in Commerce to America/Wisconsin.

I would also have some type of Scale model of a typical ship found on the Lake say in the 1880’s.  Like the General Micheal Airport in Milwaukee models of the  ship types from say 1700’s to what is found on the Lake today.

Be great to create a relationship with one of the Historical Sailing ships to visit Racine for say a week each Spring to focus attention to both the Museum and sailing ship.

This Museum would not be funded by Tax $$ but I look for cash from Companies dealing with Boating and Shipping . Other funds could come from History Buffs and just plain folks who would want to be part of this.

Continued income could come from a Cafe and Gift shop. For just fun I have an On Line only Pirate Ship that for a fee one could join and with your fee get a Letter of Mark and other swag.

In fact this could be the start of the fund raising to create said Museum

Of course this will most likely never happen or be supported by the Good old Boys and if want to know why. Let me say this ever hear of the Imaginarium?

Point Blue

I keep hearing that one of the Goals if not the only of the Root River Project is to help restart Point Blue.

My Contacts talk of the City wanting to use part of the EPA Grants to do more clean up of that area (The old Walker site), with the old Point Blue calling for a Marina. I could see some of this EPA Grants being used for Dredging with some help from the County as part of a joint effort to help both Marina’s.

It comes as no shock that the City would want to see Point Blue done. Should we get this going the project would bring a lot of Tax base (The magic words) to the City and with Rep Paul Ryan perhaps becoming Vice President give something for the Mayor of Racine to hang his hat on as he thinks about a run to obtain Ryan’s seat.

I understand that a member of the Common Council believes he can get Disney to do a Water Park  at Point Blue, however the Walker Site and the Market that we offer is far  to small for Disney. No harm in trying.
