Catching up on the news: with update!

Shall we Catch up on the news?

Root River TV

As you know both in Email and on my TV Show I have invited both the Root River Council Chairman County Supervisor Monty Osterman and Kyle E. Rogers of the EPA U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to come on my TV show to talk about the Root River Project but even after follow up (not returned) Phone Calls no response so my thinking is a no or perhaps a “Hell No!”. One would think at least I do that they would come on or as another member of the Root River Council said ” That be a great opportunity” I can only offer I cant make them however this will be brought up at the Public Hearing in June.

Wow got this email
Wayne,

First of all, my apologies for the delayed response to your inquiry. I am not aware of other EPA grants awarded to the City of Racine. In regards to the Root River Corridor Redevelopment planning project, please contact the Root River Council and the City of Racine for any updates and rationale for the decisions..

As for appearing on CATV, I need to have the Public Affairs Department to provide guidance.

We appreciate your involvement, and I will channel your expressed concerns or ideas that may enhance the Root River Corridor Redevelopment Project to the appropriate project managers.

Thank you for your interest.

Public Hearing on Rootworks

From The City Administrator of Racine 5/21/12 via Email

…”After the City Plan meeting on June 13, the ordinance will be sent to the Council for a public hearing before the meeting on June 19. During the June 19 meeting, the ordinance will be recommended for approval.” …

You will not I think get much notice from the Racine Journal Times on this event. I do not know if this will be taped by CAR 25 or for that matter if there will be a CAR 25 by then but I digress.
Come and witness the start of a New Age in Racine if is for good or bad only History will say but know this with all the $$ coming to Racine no one will be able to stop this from becoming an official plan, there is as I see it too much money involved.

A Fish told me

Jobs are being filled to help on The Root River Council/Rootworks. As I understand it this is from Grant Money from the EPA.

Oh

Rep Corry Mason of Racine is a TICK! Who only lives from sucking the life from others. So you may want to keep a can of Raid near by.
As I see it the Tick forced Bob Turner to retire so Corry Mason could still server his masters in Madison.
Yes More then one person agrees that a WHITE Democrat forced a African American Vietnam Vet to retire so he (Mason) could keep on Feeding from the public. Where is the outrage?

Fish update!
Looks like the fish spoke a bit soon about jobs but word on the street is that this (Jobs) will on the agenda very soon. The Fish before swimming off thought it might have to do with agreements being signed

Cory Mason Looking for a job? Editorial

Editorial

Cory Mason (D) Racine sits on the  Board of Directors of the Root River Council

http://rootrivercouncil.org/riverfront-redevelopment/   and as of now a member of the Wisconsin Assembly with redistricting,  Mason (The Tick as he is sometimes called for his love of State Spending and higher taxes) is most likely going to lose a reelection effort. As he is running in the Recall on Lt Governor   Rebecca Kleefisch  political insiders see no hope for him to win this contest.

So what is a soon to be X Assemblymen to do?

Well when you have lived off the Blood of others (taxes) for so long as Rep. Mason has maybe its time to count on a group you help to run for a Job!

Why not the Root River Council at first blush good idea? They have some cash are in line to get more (EPA Grant funds and block grant funds) and someone needs  to do the work (Oh wait maybe we should get a true believer for the work) I mean be the face of the group. He is known in left wing and fringe Green Groups. Why get a job?

My guess and we will get some open records on this is he is good dues paying member of The Democratic Party of Racine and believes in Obama and John Dickert.  So what better place to hide out from the real world look good take credit for others work and be a tick.

Update 3/28/12

Mason has now said he will be moving into Bob Turner’s District and run for His old seat since Rep Turner is retiring. IMHO a sad day. Robert Turner has done great service to his district over the years.   Note Mason has yet to win the race so my first idea may still play out.

This site will do everything within the law in its power to help anyone beat Corry Mason Tick of the World

More Info DNR Grants!

Asked Rep Bob Turner to look into grants that the Root River Council received if any from the DNR.

In 7/10 the Root River council received about 10 K from the DNR in a SEG Grant for River management in this case to “form a River Management Organization” would be my guess not having the grant in front of me but I will be seeking a copy. The letter I got from Rep Tuner said and I quote: ” to create stable Professional leadership to work with  with Root Rive Council members  to advance the mission and vision…Back to the Root Urban River Revitalization Plan”… goes on to say that they (Root River Council is working with the City of Racine and Vandewalle on a master plan.

Readers of this blog know that this is not the fist time Vandewalle has come up in talking about grants and the Root River Council.

I guess I will go back and add up all the $$ Vanewalle has received from the Root River Council. Thinking too I should look into who all works for them and if they are links to the City or RRC

With all the cash running around someone is getting paid.

I want to see the Root River be the best it can be but  not to become a way for Say Cory Mason (D) Racine Tick of the World to get a check after his time in office is over.

Nor do I belive should the Root River Council become anything of an official group to take control of efforts on or for the Root River.
